Do you have chippers for rent?
Yes, we do rent equipment, but through a specific program rather than a walk-in rental counter. Our rental program is available exclusively to members of the Implement Membership Program, and it covers implements for short-term projects or for trying a specific implement before you commit to buying one. Whether a chipper is in the rental lineup at your store depends on what is currently available, so the fastest way to get a yes or no is to contact your local store and ask directly.
How the rental program works
The program is built for two situations: you need a piece of equipment for a one-time job or a project that only lasts a couple of weeks, or you want to test a specific implement before deciding whether it earns a permanent spot in your shed. Membership in the Implement Membership Program is required to rent, so the first step is confirming your membership or joining.
- Confirm your membership. Rentals are only open to Implement Membership Program members. If you are not a member yet, your store can walk you through signing up.
- Ask what is available. Tell your store what you need to do, such as clearing brush or chipping limbs, and they will tell you what implements are in the rental lineup that fit the job.
- Check the match to your equipment. Implements need to pair with the tractor or machine you already run, so have your model handy when you call.
What we do not offer
We do not offer rent-to-own on any equipment. If you are renting because you are not ready to buy outright, the better fit is usually financing or leasing, which gives you a path to ownership or lower monthly costs without tying you to a rental rate long term. Our finance team can price both options against what you expect to spend renting.
Renting versus buying: how to decide
Many Customers rent first to learn what size and features they actually need, then buy with confidence. If you expect to use a chipper or any implement regularly rather than for a single project, run the numbers: build and price the equipment online, then compare that against your expected rental costs. If you are weighing larger machines, our posts on compact construction rentals versus ownership and leasing versus renting cover the trade-offs in more detail.
