Marking Important Locations in Operations Center

Creating flags in the Operations Center is a useful way to mark important locations or conditions within your fields. Follow these steps to easily set up flags that can help you manage your agricultural operations effectively.

  1. Access the Map Application:

    • Start by selecting the Map option at the bottom of the page to enter the map application.

  2. Create a New Flag:

    • In the toolbar, look for the flag icon with a plus button. You have two options to place a flag:
      • Select on the Map: Click directly on the map where you want to place the flag.
      • Use Your Current Location: Click the icon with the blue dot and flag to mark your current phone location.

  3. Fill Out Flag Information:

    • Once the flag location is set, pull up the flag information from the bottom of the screen. The default category will be set to Field Notes. You can select from pre-loaded conditions, such as rocks or tiles, which are color-coded for easy identification.

  4. Add a New Category:

    • If you want to create a new flag category, select Add at the bottom of the page. Enter a title for your flag category, choose a color, and optionally star it to mark it as a favorite. Click Save to store the new category.

  5. Edit Existing Flags:

    • If you need to change the name of an existing flag, you can do so by selecting the flag and editing the title.

  6. Assign the Flag to a Field:

    • Choose the specific field you want to assign the flag to. If you are currently in an active boundary, the field will be pre-selected.

  7. Add Freeform Notes and Photos:

    • You can include freeform notes about the flag, such as observations made while planting. Additionally, you can attach a photo by selecting Add Photo to document the condition or location.

  8. Save Your Flag:

    • Once all information is complete, click Save at the top to save the flag. It will now be viewable on the map.

  9. View and Manage Flags:

    • To view information on existing flags, simply select a flag on the map. You can pull up details and view any attached photos. If a flag is no longer needed, select the three dots on the right side of the flag information to archive or delete it.
