How Do I Attach and Detach the 260B Backhoe from a 1025R?

Step-by-Step Instructions for Safely Managing Your Backhoe

Detaching the 260B Backhoe

  • Prepare the Tractor - Ensure the tractor is in neutral and parked. Keep the engine running.
  • Remove Locking Mechanisms - Remove the center transport lock to prevent boom movement. Adjust the boom if needed. Remove the boom lock and set it aside.
  • Adjust Stabilizers - Lower stabilizers slightly off the ground.
  • Create a Triangle with the Boom - Position the bucket flat to prevent sliding and relieve pin weight.
  • Remove Pins - Remove the two pins at the top of the frame and store them.
  • Unhook Power Beyond Couplers - Turn off the tractor to relieve hydraulic pressure, then disconnect the power beyond couplers.
  • Complete Detachment - Roll the frame away from the tractor.

Connecting the 260B Backhoe

  • Prepare the Tractor - Ensure the tractor is in neutral and parked. Lower the bucket.
  • Align the Backhoe - Back up the tractor, keeping wheels straight, and align the green pins with the undercarriage frame.
  • Hook Up Power Beyond Couplers - Connect the power beyond couplers.
  • Lower the Backhoe Frame - Start the tractor and position the backhoe frame into the mounting frame using stabilizer arms.
  • Secure the Pins - Check the weight on the mounting frame, pivot the backhoe, align the pin holes, and slide them in.
  • Lock Stabilizers - Raise and lock both stabilizer arms.
  • Final Checks - Reinsert the transport pin, lock the digging boom, and ensure everything is secure.
