How do you clean a corn header after harvest?

To clean a corn header, remove all crop residue, blow out debris with compressed air, wash with a power washer, and lubricate moving parts to prevent rust and wear.

Using a high power leaf blower or compressed air, blow off the critical areas of the corn header components like row units, gathering chains, deck plates, and augers. If additional residue is still present, spray the corn header with water to remove additional residue. Finally, inspect all wear parts such as chains, knives, scrapers, and more on your corn header and either lubricate or replace the parts if damaged.
