Serial Plate Location: Full-Size 825 & New 845 Series
On current full-size John Deere Gator models such as the 825 and the newer 845 series, the serial number plate is located on the frame near the right rear tire.
-
Stand at the right rear tire and look toward the frame of the machine.
-
The serial plate will be mounted on the frame in that right rear area, above and around the tire.
Serial Plate Location: 835 Models
For John Deere Gator 835 models (no longer in production but still widely used), the serial number plate is mounted toward the front of the machine.
-
Go to the right front tire of the Gator.
-
From the right front tire, look inward and up toward the firewall; the serial plate is located there.
Serial Plate Location: Midsize Gator Models
On midsize John Deere Gator Utility Vehicles, the serial number plate is typically found at the rear of the machine near the hitch receiver.
-
Stand directly behind the Gator, centered on the machine.
-
Look near the hitch receiver; the serial plate will be right next to the receiver in the rear center area.
Serial Plate Location: TE, TX, and TH Gator Models
For TE, TX, and TH series Gators, the serial number plate is usually located under the operator’s seat.
-
Lift or tilt the operator’s seat to access the mounting plate beneath.
-
Look on the plate under the seat, facing toward the brake pedal; the serial number plate is mounted there.
Tips for Reading and Using Your Serial Number
-
Clean the area gently with a rag if dust or mud is blocking the plate.
-
Take a clear photo of the serial number so you can reference it later when calling or visiting Koenig Equipment for parts or service support.
