How to Use Existing Guidance Tracks on Your John Deere Gen 4 Display
Mastering Field Navigation with Guidance Tracks
This help article guides you through the process of setting up and using existing guidance tracks on your John Deere Generation 4 Display. Guidance tracks help maintain precise, straight rows while working in the field, improving both efficiency and accuracy. Whether you are preparing your equipment for planting, spraying, or harvesting, following these instructions will help you make the most of your guidance system.
What Are Guidance Tracks?
-
Guidance tracks are pre-defined paths stored in your display that your equipment can follow using AutoTrac.
-
They help keep tractor or implement passes straight and consistent across your field.
Getting Started: Selecting Your Field
-
From the home screen, tap the Setup button.
-
Select your field using Field Detection—the display will show nearby fields to choose from.
-
Confirm your selection. Your tractor’s position will be shown on the map, relative to the selected field boundary (purple line).
Tip: When you change fields on a Gen 4 display, your previously selected guidance line remains active until you choose a new one.
