Setting Up Your G5 Advanced License
A step-by-step guide to activating, preparing, and making the most of your John Deere G5 Advanced license with Koenig Equipment support.
Before You Begin: Key Steps to Prepare
Getting the most from the G5 Advanced license starts with proper setup and data management. Follow these steps for a smooth experience:
-
Create or Access a John Deere Operations Center Account:
Visit OperationsCenter.Deere.com to set up your account. This account is essential for managing equipment, fields, and connected tools. -
Clean Up Operations Center Data:
Review and update legal entities, equipment, land, team members, and products in Operations Center to ensure all information is accurate. Utilize the Data Cleanup Video Series for additional guidance. -
Update Display and Apps:
Confirm that your G5 display, Operations Center Mobile, and Equipment Mobile apps are all updated to the latest versions. Staying current ensures access to the latest features and optimal compatibility. -
Create Driven Boundaries:
For best accuracy in the field, define driven boundaries. Accurate field boundaries improve guidance performance and data capture throughout the season. -
Plan Seasonal Work with Work Planner:
Utilize the Work Planner feature within Operations Center to outline the work needed each season—helping minimize in-cab setup time.
License Activation and Data Sync

Check License Activation:
Ensure the G5 Advanced license is activated on your compatible display. If it was not activated at purchase, Koenig Equipment can assist with activation. -
