Weed Pressure Mapping With See & Spray: Turning Sprayer Passes Into Agronomic Insights

Use See & Spray data layers to make better weed management decisions year after year.

Beyond applying herbicide, See & Spray technology helps you visualize where weeds are in your field through weed pressure maps and canopy maps. These layers add a new agronomic dimension to your sprayer passes.

What Weed Pressure Maps Show

  • Weed pressure maps are created as See & Spray detects and treats weeds during an operation.

  • Areas with more detected weeds will appear as high‑pressure zones, while cleaner parts of the field show as low‑pressure zones.

  • These maps are tied to your operation records in John Deere Operations Center for later review.

Canopy Mapping With See & Spray Premium and Ultimate

  • When running in See & Spray mode in‑crop, Premium and Ultimate configurations can record canopy maps that reflect crop density and variability.

  • These layers help you understand crop growth patterns across fields at the time of spraying, not just during yield monitoring.

  • Note: Weed pressure and canopy maps are not available with See & Spray Select.

How to Use These Maps Agronomically

  • Target scouting or ground‑truthing to the highest weed‑pressure zones highlighted on the map.

  • Adjust future herbicide programs, tillage, or cover crop strategies where chronic weed problems appear.

  • Compare maps across years to see if management changes are reducing pressure in historically problematic areas.

How Koenig Equipment Helps You Use the Data

  • Set up your Operations Center account and connect See & Spray‑equipped machines so layers flow automatically.

  • Show you how to filter and analyze weed pressure maps alongside yield, soil, and as‑applied layers.

  • Work with your agronomic partners to build long‑term strategies based on data, not guesswork.
