What are Reman parts and how are they made?

"Reman" parts are remanufactured parts

Remanufactured (reman) parts are fundamentally different from simply repaired, rebuilt, or reconditioned components.

These parts undergo a systematic process where used components are completely disassembled, thoroughly inspected, and meticulously restored to meet or exceed original manufacturer specifications. Unlike repairs that address only specific failures, the remanufacturing process involves breaking down the entire part and replacing all worn components according to factory standards.

The process typically includes replacing common wear items like gears, seals, O-rings, washers, and gaskets with new ones. For tractor engines and other critical components, all wear-type parts (including pistons, liners, bushings, and bearings) are replaced 100% of the time with new parts.
