How to Replace an Alternator
- Gather Tools and Materials: New alternator, wrenches and sockets, screwdrivers, safety gear.
- Disconnect the Battery: Disconnect the negative terminal to avoid shock.
- Remove the Old Alternator: Remove belts, disconnect connectors, and take out the old alternator.
- Install the New Alternator: Secure the new alternator, reconnect connectors, and reattach belts.
- Reconnect the Battery: Reconnect the negative terminal.
- Test the New Alternator: Start the vehicle, check for warning lights, and listen for noises.
